An elementary research to develop a Notion of A.F.N.A Cadet Culture

Abstract
Culture, - does exist in every society, formed by the interaction with people, learned and handed down by symbolized form - as a consequence of being owned by specific society or group in common, influence human act and direct human principles. Although, valuation of Cultures of Cadet by the books could very be limited as studies in Cultures of Cadet has not really been taken, Cadet¡¯s acknowledgment (understanding) level in Cultures in Cadet Organization could color very important influence on prospering healthy and unique cultures in Armed Forces Organization when they are taking responsibilities as future leaders in Armed Forces (1996, Young-Bae Lee) and a cadet with better understanding in Cultures of Cadet treat values, honor, duty more importantly when become an officer. Up until today, a systematical research (study) in Cultures of Cadet of Armed Forces Nursing Academy (here-in-after AFNA) to define the notion in Cultures of Cadet has not really been thoroughgoing enough, there isn¡¯t the clear definition and meaning of the culture, further more, it has also not really been known to Cadets in AFNA and even to already graduated Nursing Officers on ¡¯what is Cultures of Cadet of AFNA? what does it really mean?¡¯. This research is descriptive analysis research by Classification-Analytics based on the corrected data from 29 AFNA cadets with depth one-on-one interview and behavior (habit) observation to understand the cultures of the cadet of AFNA correctly and to identify experiences and recognition of the cultures of the AFNA cadet. The definition (concept) of Culture of Cadet is deduced through the depth one-on-one interview data that analyzed by Classification-Analytics (J. Spradley, 1988) and meaningful statements of the data are classified by 15 subjects and then break it into to 8 characteristics. The result, as follows ; I. Characteristics of Culture of AFNA Cadet. Life of AFNA Cadet. Form from mix with Cadet. Style of living of Cadet. Ordinary thing for Cadet. Uniqueness to Cadet. Uniqueness Specialty Own in common. Being formed. Behavioral form Concern Responsibility Temperance Autonomy Get changed. Being handed over. By studying the characteristics of Culture of AFNA Cadet, the following definition of Culture of Cadet can be deduced. Culture of AFNA Cadet; it¡¯s (so to speak) daily style of living with the cadet and in the line of the process that uniqueness and responsibility as Cadet gets formed, educated and changed. 2.Characteristics of Culture of AFNA Cadet. The most important thing is Friendship (relationship). Nave and desirable. Hierarchical society (Hierarchy) No private life Dislike change. Desire of Secession Became ordinary thing 3. The effect of Culture of AFNA Cadet Changes in human nature Building up concern for others. Being preserved. Being proud. Getting more responsibility. Improvement and Change. Widen mental vision. Betterment in countermeasure. Heteronomy. Being heteronomy. Taking serious view of others thought and appearance. Keen on compensation. Changes in emotion. Burstsout stress and smothered feeling. Afraid of being behind than others. Mental conflict more with lower grade. Get mad when thing goes out of plan. Imperative on managing time. 4. Whom influences the most in life of Cadet Friend is the greatest influencer in Culture of Cadet, no matter it is affirmativeor negative, and Cadet also gets influences from the staff of AFNA (a teacher, an instructor, a professor, and an educating officer) in forming values. However, cadets are more often saying that they are experiencing change of values by senior and friend whether want it or not. 5. Required improvement in Culture of AFNA Cadet. Complication in Cadet. Authoritarianismof senior cadet. Shout with educational atmosphere. Oppressive atmosphere. Excessive competitive sense Chaos of role. Exclusive tendency in changes. This research, based on the experiences of AFNA Cadet, will help to understand the Culture of Cadet more correctly and to set future improvement plan and right education direction as the foundation. And it will contribute to minimize transient difficulties and trail and error in Culture of Cadet as intends healthy Culture of Cadet and will contribute to uphold the great traditions of Armed Forces Nursing Academy.
